【摘要】:Thedeterminationofmetalsinwateroftenrequiresthemeasurementoftotal(suspendedanddissolved)metalsaswellassoluble(dissolved)metals.Insuchcases,consistentanddependabledigestionproceduresmustbeusedsothatdataderivedforthetotalmetalscontentisreliable.Thepracticesgivenareapplicabletoawidevarietyofsampletypesforthepurposeofpreparingasampleformetalsanalysesbyatomicabsorptionspectrophotometryorplasmaemissionspectroscopy(seeTestMethodsD1976,D3919,D4691,andD4190)orplasma-massspectrometry(SeeTestMethodD5673)andhavebeenshowntogivegoodrecoveryinthefollowingmatrices:industrialeffluents;wastewatertreatmentplantinfluents,sludges,dewateredsludges,andeffluents;riverandlakewaters;andplantandanimaltissues.Elementswhichhaveshowngoodrecoveryinclude:copper,nickel,lead,zinc,cadmium,iron,manganese,magnesium,andcalcium.4.2.1Goodrecoveryfortheindicatedsampletypesandmetalsmaynotbeachievedatalltimesduetoeachsamplersquo;uniquecharacteristics.Usersmustalwaysvalidatethepracticefortheirparticularsamples.Theanalyticalresultsachievedafterapplyingthesepracticescannotnecessarilybedeemedasameasureofbioavailableorenvironmentallyavailableelements.Thesethreepracticesmaynotgivethesamerecoverywhenappliedtothesamesample,norwilltheynecessarilygivethesameresultsasachievedusingotherdigestiontechniques.AnalternatedigestiontechniqueisPracticeD4309.1.1Mostatomicabsorptionandplasmaemissionspectroscopy,andplasma-massspectrometrictestmethodsrequirethatthemetalsofinterestbedissolvedinaliquidphasebeforebeingintroducedintothespectrophotometer.Thesepracticesdescribedigestionordissolutionprocedureswherebyanalytemetalsassociatedwiththesolidfractionofasamplecanbebroughtintosolutionforsubsequentanalysis.Thefollowingpracticesareincluded:SectionsPracticeA-DigestionwithMineralAcidsandElevatedPressure8through13PracticeB-DigestionwithMineralAcidsandHeatingatAtmosphericPressure14through19PracticeC-In-bottledigestionwithMineralAcids20through25
