【摘要】:Stearicacidisimportantintherubbervulcanizationprocess.Itisbelievedthatthestearicacidreactswithzinc-oxideorothermetallicoxides,duringvulcanization,toformarubbersolublesaltorsoap,thatreactswiththeacceleratorenablingittoexertitsfulleffect.Stearicacidofcommerceisgenerallyamixtureofpalmitic,stearic,andoleicacidsusuallyderivedfromtallowbasestockbutcanbederivedfromotherfatsandoilsofanimalorvegetableorigins.1.1Thisclassificationcoversthecompoundingmaterialscommerciallyknownasstearicacid.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
