【摘要】:TheBWC,asdeterminedbythistestmethod,isameasureoftheabilityofanactivatedcarbontoadsorbanddesorbbutanefromdryairunderspecifiedconditions.Itisusefulforqualitycontrolandevaluationofgranularactivatedcarbonsthatareusedinapplicationswheretheadsorptionofbutaneanddesorptionwithdryairareofinterest.TheBWCcanalsoprovidearelativemeasureoftheeffectivenessofthetestedactivatedcarbonsonotheradsorbates.Thebutaneactivityandretentivitycanalsobedeterminedundertheconditionsofthetest.Thebutaneactivityisanindicationofthemicroporevolumeoftheactivatedcarbonsample.Thebutaneretentivityisanindicationoftheporestructureoftheactivatedcarbonsample.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthebutaneworkingcapacity(BWC)ofnewgranularactivatedcarbon.TheBWCisdefinedasthedifferencebetweenthebutaneadsorbedatsaturationandthebutaneretainedperunitvolumeofcarbonafteraspecifiedpurge.Thetestmethodalsoproducesabutaneactivityvaluethatisdefinedasthetotalamountofbutaneadsorbedonthecarbonsampleandisexpressedasamassofbutaneperunitweightorvolumeofcarbon.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecifichazardstatement,see7.1.
