【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverwirebindingscrewterminalsofreceptaclesandswitchesrated15or20Aintendedforusewithsolidconductoraluminumbuildingwire,andthatrequiredirectconnectionofwiringconductor(s)tothebindingheadscrewterminal(s)priortoinsertionofthedeviceinanoutletbox.TheseperformancerequirementsforwirebindingscrewterminalsareinadditiontotherequirementsfortheproductscoveredbytheStandardforAttachmentPlugsandReceptacles,UL498,andtheStandardforGeneral-UseSnapSwitches,UL20.Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisStandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersons,shallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementsasdeterminednecessarytomaintaintheacceptablelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisStandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisStandardcannotbejudgedtocomplywiththisStandard.Whereconsideredappropriate,revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisStandard.
