【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestwomethodsforthedeterminationoftheresistanceofrubbertoabrasionbymeansofarotatingcylindricaldrumdevice.Themethodsinvolvedeterminationofthevolumelossduetotheabrasiveactionofrubbingatestpieceoveraspecifiedgradeofabrasivesheet.MethodAisforanon-rotatingtestpieceandmethodBforarotatingtestpiece.Foreachmethod,theresultcanbereportedasarelativevolumelossoranabrasionresistanceindex.NOTE1UsersofpreviouseditionsofthisInternationalStandardshouldbeawarethatmethodAandmethodBinthiseditionhavebeenchanged.Inthisedition,methodA(non-rotatingtestpiece)withthecalculationofrelativevolumeloss(see3.2)correspondstomethodAofthepreviouseditions.MethodA(non-rotatingtestpiece)andmethodB(rotatingtestpiece)withcalculationofabrasionresistanceindex(see3.3)werebothincludedinmethodBinthepreviouseditions.Becausefactorssuchasthegradeofabrasivesheet,thetypeofadhesiveusedinthemanufactureofthesheetandcontaminationandwearcausedbyprevioustestingleadtovariationsintheabsolutevaluesofabrasionloss,alltestsarecomparative.Runswithareferencecompoundareincludedsothattheresultsmaybeexpressedeitherasarelativevolumelosscomparedtoacalibratedabrasivesheetoranabrasionresistanceindexcomparedtoareferencecompound.NOTE2Theabrasionlossisoftenmoreuniformusingtherotatingtestpiecebecausethewholesurfaceofthetestpieceisincontactwiththeabrasivesheetoverthedurationofthetest.However,thereisconsiderableexperienceusingthenon-rotatingtestIpiece.Thesetestmethodsaresuitableforcomparativetesting,qualitycontrol,specificationcompliancetesting,refereepurposes,andresearchanddevelopmentwork.Nocloserelationbetweentheresultsofthisabrasiontestandserviceperformancecanbeinferred.
