【摘要】:ThescopeofthisInternationalStandardistodefinemethodsandprocessesofmeasuringobjectiveprintqualityattributesfortheassessmentofglossnon-uniformityonprintedpagesinreflectionmode,andtoprovidetransforms,whenapplicable,thatrelatetheobjectiveresultstosubjectiveresponses,ifappropriate.Therearemanyexistingstandards(seeNormativereferencesandBibliographyfordetails)typicallyusedforglossmeasurement.Ourintentistoleveragetheexistingstandardsandadaptthoseforuseonglossuniformitymeasurementswhereappropriate.ThisInternationalStandardiscomposedofastandardizedtestmethodology,whichisbasedonestablishedglossmeasurementmethodologiesasnotedinClause2andintheBibliography.Themethodologieshavebeenmodifiedsothat,whenappliedtoprintedpagescreatedbydifferentmarkingtechnologiesandimagingalgorithmsondifferentsubstrates,theresultsindicatetheleveloftheobjectiveglossuniformityoftheprintedpages(inreflectionmode).Iftheobjectivemeasurementcanbelinkedtothesubjectiveimpressionofglossuniformity,thenthelinkagefromobjectivemeasurementtosubjectiveimpressionviamathematicaltransformsisprovided.Thereflectionprintsthataretobeusedasthesubjectofthesetestscanbecreatedviaprintersorcopiers(analoganddigital).ThisInternationalStandardshouldbeappliedonlytoelectro-photographicbasesprints.Whenmorereflectionprintsmadebyotherprintingtechnologiesbecomeavailableforfollow-upstudy,onemayconsiderincludingthoseprintingtechnologiesinthisInternationalStandardasarevision.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotaddressthemeasurementofglossattributesofprintedpagesintransmissionmode.GlossuniformityattributescurrentlyincludedinthisInternationalStandardare:differentialgloss,glossuniformitywithinapage,andglossconsistencywithinarun.Duetothecurrentlevelofimmaturityofcommerciallyavailableobjectivemicro-glossmeasurementinstruments,glossartefactattributes(suchasglossgrain,glossspot,glossstreak,glossband,glossmottle/cloud,glossmoiré)arenotincludedinthisInternationalStandardatthepresenttime,sinceinstrumentedmeasurementprocedurecannotberecommendedatpresent.Asinstrumentedmeasurementcapabilitybecomesavailable,theywillbeconsideredforadoptionintothisInternationalStandardasarevision.
